Grilling season is finally here and I can't be happier. Cooking outdoors is so much easier and cooler so I don't have to sweat over the stove.

It doesn't matter what kinds of grill you have but the most important thing about grilling is to be able to control the temperature and to cook safely. Read these safe grilling tips and learn more.

I love grilling steaks and while I usually use my trusty cast iron pan during winter time, in the summer, I love grilling steaks on my BBQ grill. The hottest flame sears the meat on the outside and it continues to cook to perfection every time. Also, I can cook more than one steak on the grill but not on a cast iron pan! It can feed a crowd in no time!

Dry Rub vs. BBQ Sauce

There are as many opinions about using dry rubs vs. sauce as which state makes the best BBQ. Well, here is my opinion based on practicality. I love gilling steaks but obviously, steaks are flavorful as they are without any sauce. So I never use rubs or sauces on steaks. But I do use dry rubs on pork, chicken, and vegetables.

Dry rub - dry rub minimizes burning from the dripping wet sauce when grilling and I love marinating them in dry rubs about an hour or so before grilling and then sprinkling the rub during grilling. The flavors are intense but it's not as messy as wet.

BBQ sauce - I use sweet and tangy BBQ sauce when I make baby back ribs. I baste the ribs with the sauce first, cook them in the Instant Pot, and then, brush with the sauce afterward. Then, grill the ribs until they're browned. Basting the ribs with sauce lightly while grilling minimizes the mess but flavor is infused since the ribs were cooked in the sauce.

So you see, there are reasons for using dry rubs for grilling, so check out my low carb dry rub and the sweet and tangy BBQ sauce for your next BBQ. Now, here are 50+ sizzling BBQ recipes in categories. Happy Grilling!
