It’s been a few days since a plethora of A-List celebs made their way to Hollywood for a star-studded night, celebrating the most fabulous in cinema over the past year. The Glitterbels team have been busy digesting the magnificent looks and, most importantly, nails from the event.
From Margot Robbie to Emma Stone, Zendaya to America Ferrera, the looks were fierce, and the nails were fiercer. Emily Blunt ft. a subtle sparkle
This simple and sophisticated manicure was created by @julieknailsnyc for Emily Blunt’s show-stopping red-carpet look. This beautiful Schiaparelli gown was covered from head to toe with champagne-coloured sequins. To keep things simple Julie, kept things subtle on the nails, to complement the dress. Emma Stone ft. Strawberry Milk Nails
Emma’s manicurist Emi Kudo opted for a gorgeous milky pink shade for Emma’s Oscar nails. This gorgeous shade complemented her mint pastel dress, courtesy of Louis Vuitton. Her makeup and overall look was soft and reminiscent of sprint time, a perfect look for Emma. Although these nails are simple, this colour is a great option for anyone looking for something pink but toned down. Cynthia Erivo ft. Gorgeous Greens
British actress and singer Cynthia Erivo was a vision in emerald green on this years Oscar red carpet. Her gorgeous dress was designed by Louis Vuitton and the deep green colour was a nod to her role as Elphaba, the green witch from Wicked. Her intricate manicure was created by nail artist Rose Hackel, an LA-based tech, who is Cynthia’s go-to. These magical nails are completely see-through, and emerald green swirls and crystals decorate these perfect nails, giving off an enchanted and mystical vibe. The queen of Barbie-land, Margot Robbie, strutted down the red carpet in a black Versace dress, paired with a mixed metal bangle designed by Fred Leighton. This striking look was different from her usual pink getup and we loved it. The simplicity of this gorgeous LBD and the boldness of the silver and gold jewellery was a perfect look for Margot.
Her manicurist, Betina Goldstien, found the perfect balance between a nude and brown shade, creating a light cappuccino colour, perfect for the spring and summer seasons. The tone of this shade complemented her outfit and added a touch of elegance and expense.

Vanessa Hudgens Ft. Ombre Tips
Not only did Vanessa Hudgens debut her baby bump on this year’s Oscars red carpet, but she also slayed some gorgeous almond shaped talons. These long, sleek and sexy nails were created by @nailsbyzola and stood out from her black gown, created by Vera Wang. A bit of depth was added to this stunning ombre look, as a touch of chrome was added to the nails, giving a glamourous pearlescent finish to the nails. Her manicure was done by celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann and featured a minimal and sparkling 3D rain drop design, the water theme giving a nod to her feature in the latest dune movie.
America Ferrera
America Ferrera looked stunning in this Barbie pink Versace gown, the metallic sheen of this gorgeous dress look amazing on her and since the dress was so bold, her manicurist Diem Truong wanted to keep her nails minimal and natural. Danielle Brooks Ft. Fancy French Tip
Danielle Brooks shimmered down the red carpet with a gorgeous set of bejewelled French tip nails, created by nail artist, Temeka Jackson. This blinged-out look was bold, paired with her black dress from Dolce & Gabbana. The details of her nails matched with the platinum jewellery she was rocking. What really caught everyone’s eye was the number that was featured on her nails.
Studded in crystals was the number 26, a tribute to her being the 26th Black woman to ever be nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the Oscars 87 years of running. This powerful hidden message was a chance to bring symbolism and historical context to the red carpet.
